What's Your Story On Making Money On The Internet?

What brilliant ideas are there on making money on the internet? How are you making money on the internet? (Curious because our generation is "constantly" on the internet.) Maybe you have an interesting story.

I make no money online. I have a career in the medical field and no time to hatch internet schemes or even worse, sell my body for viewing online. Lucky for me, my job provides quite well and my SO has a very good job also. Not much left to want for. Internet businesses are hard to maintain unless it is a huge and novel idea not seen before. That’s tough to do given the size of the internet.

Have you tried making money online? Just curious if you personally had any success. I think most people profiting off the internet are those that maintain and help build the content and not so much some new idea for a site. Technical computer background would be best to explore if you want to make a career on the internet.

I can say that the only money I’ve actually “made” is probably from this site. There is a 25 USD gift card awarded to the top moderator each month. While that is mine to use, I have donated each one to a charity. So, you could say I’ve still made nothing. 😞

Well, I never made huge money out of the internet. I see some potential platforms others make money on. But you need to invest a lot of time and energy in it. YouTube channel is an example. On the other side you can use the internet to invest your money. Via banks for example. Metaverse platforms are upcoming. I don't know much about this. But with some IT skills you can build 'avatars', accesories and equipments and sell these for instance. If you have followers on social media platforms you might make deals with businesses to promote their stuff. Or if you have a business you can find your customers from all over the world via internet ofcourse.

As you say, internet is full of content makers and some are very skilled. A new idea for a Website... That would be tough to be succesful. Maybe brilliant ideas for an application? Timing is very important.

I think you probably know a lot more about it than I do. Some of the things you mentioned are very good ideas. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of those IT or computer skills.

If you could come up with a revolutionary app that would certainly be a moneymaker. Be sure to keep any of those ideas off the internet until you launch or someone will steal it. Lol

Yes, myself and other moderators participate in donating to charity. I’m not in it for the money. Just a volunteer here. I’m allowed to come and go as I please so we figured better to donate to good causes.

So far, money has been donated to hospitals, children and there families in critical care, money to Ukraine and more. 🙂

Every penny donated counts! :) Thank you for your advice; I will keep ideas about an application for my self. When the time is ripe, I will launch it. When there is no such plan, I will just focus on something else. Thanks for your input today.
