The fact that out of all these billionaires we have here in the states, that a simple-minded one like Musk is the one that all these teenagers on the internet obsess over. Excusing the fact that billionaires shouldn't exist at all, and that Musk should be the first to face the wall when communist revolution comes, he's just unfunny and annoying. I guess it makes sense for a typical right-wing American to see Elon Musk repost reddit garbage on his twitter and be tickled pink by it.

Elon Musk is popular precisely because he's not a whingeing, do-nothing sour-puss like you. You may not agree with some of his projects (like 'Neuralink', which I think is all rather silly and unrealistic), but at least he's willing to try, willing to risk all in order to move mankind forward. What have you accomplished in your 23 years on planet Earth? Anything comparable?

He's an annoying fucker, for real. People practically worship him, but come on, look how he got rich initially: from selling Paypal to a bunch of crooks. It didn't take a genius at the time he thought of the idea. He just realized the Internet needs a common, easy-to-use eCommerce platform. It was sort of inevitable given that everyone and his brother was selling online. Then, they decided to take advantage of everyone by holding onto their funds instead of releasing them immediately to website owners, thus capitalizing on short term investments. They're crooks, man, but he sold it before that shit happened. Still, he's new money. I'd rather deal with old money any day of the week.

I don't have an issue with him. I think he needs to rethink getting into politics now. Trumpers will sink him. Because even as he claims to be Conservative, they will attack him if he refuses to lick Trump's anus.

The thing weird thing is he is an environmentalist. I don't think he understands, the folks who call themselves Conservatives nowadays are not Conservatives. They are religious, superstitious extremists, who have abandoned rational thinking and science.

And that is in Elon's wheelhouse. He wants to build hybrid vehicles, save the environment, explore space, etc. And the American Taliban won't accept science unless it certifies their political beliefs.

And conservatives are not the ones who have abandoned rational thinking and science, because they're not the ones who believe there are now over 100 genders, that a person can be a man, woman, orange or alien just by "identifying" as one, or that the world is doomed if we don't tax everyone at 97% and put butt-plugs up cow's asses because they're releasing too much methane, and that's causing the earth to heat up.

He is a very successful businessman. You don't become one by being an idiot, okay? Musk is very smart. And he knows how to play games to get what he wants too. That's also something you need to be smart in order to do successfully. Plus, none of us know what is going on behind the scenes. You can't claim that he's dumb after everything he's accomplished. If a person is a genius they are entitled to act different and many do. If they have the ability to take their ideas and make many products that people want, they make money. They spend their money however they want like most people do.

He also started the electric vehicle industry, which every auto maker is now into.
