Wifi signal booster or router modem? Which device should I buy?

There are devices that allow it to distribute the internet received wirelessly, for example, the wifi we receive remotely is very little in our house and it does not work everywhere in our house, for this there are router modems or wifi multiplier devices.
Do you use such a device, which do you think is better?

I use an inexpensive WiFi extender from Netgear. The modem-router is in the den-home office and the extender is about 60 feet (18 m) away connecting the other part of the house. Moving around in the house with a wireless device is seamless as router and extender use the same password. For me the extender was the simplest and cheapest option.

Depends, as you can also use Powerline adaptors.

If you want more internet in one room for example, then get a Powerline adaptor instead. But if you have thick stone/brick walls then you will be better getting a long ethernet cable and an extra router instead. A wifi extender will not do much if you have solid walls.

A booster should be fine. Put the tx as far away from the wifi source, as long as you get a reliable signal.
