How are ya guys tagging users?

I see many people tagging users but when i do the @(usenbame) it doesn't do it. So do tell this newbie how it's done please

I use a Windows computer running a Google Chrome browser or my Android phone running the GaG app. In my initial response to a question, when I type the '@' symbol a few usernames pop up and I type the first letter of the one that I'm wanting to tag and then select. That prompt won't come up when you are replying to a reply so you have to remember what the username was. In your profile settings, you can adjust so that people can't tag you in which case that username won't pop.

Don’t use the parentheses but if they don’t want to be tagged it won’t work

With @(username), but you can't tag users, if they've checked the box "don't allow other users to mention me"

The @mention function has not been working since the big "upgrade". Ypou have to do it the old fashion way. Just type @tesaturd

@Username then space before saying anything. If the user you are tagging has a capital letter for the first letter of there name then don’t use a capital letter.

You're doing it right, but people can adjust their setting and make it so you can't tag them.
