Which freelance services marketplace do you use?

I actively use Fiverr and Glayzer. com, but I'm no longer able to get work on Fiverr. It seems like the algorithm pushes me towards the back, not highlighting me in the forefront. On Glayzer. com, I almost get work every day, but the platform tends to protect the client more than me. So, I deliver work, but if the client doesn’t like it, Glayzer refunds their fee. This ends up wasting my time. Do you have any other platforms to recommend?

Not sure that is specifically a problem with one service. Its more a problem with the concepts of these marketplaces in general. I am probably in a different field so not too much to compare, but a few things I can say:
(Note: some are obvious and others dont work in every field.)

• Even as a freelancer having a long term contract on the side helps. Not always possible and you specifically need a contract that allows side work. Even better a not official contract but a repeating regular partner.
• Most sites, like you experienced, dont promote you if your stats are not special. (Not talking about your work, just the statistics from your account) You can better promote yourself and link your official contact sites, instead of hoping to get work from these sites themselfe. Build social media followers. Give small trials and post them to fitting subreddits, twittee (x), and even discord has good channels for specific things.
• Post and link with partners you published together and if your work is used somewhere post that too.
• Build a network to support each other with partners that can have the same customers without doing the same work. This is bassically form fitted free advertisement.

i have an agent who arranges all my freelance work but i'm in a long-term contract now so i only freelance in the gaps in between

I used to dm directly on Linked. in. Made a decent network, now they refer me further
