Which search engine do you prefer google chrome or microsoft edge?

I have been using google chrome for my entire life but recently there is an update in microsoft edge and actually it seems pretty nice. And after that, I started to read in web that a lot of people were actually using other kinds of search engines because they dont like google chrome like before. What do you prefer as search engine?

google is scarier with one sided search results.

with artificial concensus, like news companies cherry picking certain items to repeat to generate an image for their agenda.

edge ignored my search terms most of the time and lied "a million found" but only shows the same 90 page after page, hiding the other thousands that it didn't really find? or doesn't let me see?

even duckduckgo used google just blocks google spying.

google maps is also scary because opening, under the surface behind the scenes, a hundred pages during a moment of its use... to analyze my every move! but the competition maps are harder to use.

internet companies know more about me than... i remember about myself! and no available alternative yet!

Glob.
Glob only searches for the word glob and nothing else.
I find this extremely useful, much more so than all those silly search engines.

In all seriousness though, those are web browsers, not sesrch engines, and they are both kind of crap lol

You mean browser? I use opera gx for a browser and duckduckgo as a search engine. Sometimes I switch to ecosia.

I do not used google chrome or microsoft edge, I used Startpage most of the time or Duck-Duck-Go as the give results very different from Google or Bing.

First of all, those are browsers, not search engines. Personally, I've used Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. I prefer Firefox. There are better, more secure options, like Brave. But Firefox is the one I work best with.
