Have you ever crashed a car?

I hit a deer last night and I feel like a total idiot. My front bumper got pushed in, my passenger side light is out, and my hood is all dented up. Plus because my bumper has been pushed in there’s damage going on under the hood. Unfortunately I only have liability as well because my insurance company are **** so full coverage was extremely expensive And my dumb ass has never heard of comprehensive insurance until today.

I drove a bunch of Cub Scouts about 50 miles away in my wife's brand new Country Squire. As we were driving home it was raining pretty hard. Ineeded to get in the right lane to get on the highway. There was a car sneaking up on my right and I did not see it. I crashed into it. I was busy making sure all the kids were okay. The woman that was driving the car was trying to flag down passing cars to see if they were witnesses. About ten of 15 minutes the woman's boyfriend showed up in a Jeep,. I wondered how he knew there was a crash and how did he know where it was? This was when the only cell phones there were , were the ones that were installed in cars. They had a little curly antenna that was installed on one of the windowntennas.. I purposely went over to her car and looked for one of those. I did not find one and did not see one on the boyfriends Jeep either.

A few months later I got something in the mail from a lawyers office that I was being sued. I had no idea who this person was. It turns out it wa the driver of the othert car. She was suing me. I called my insurance company and they said they would take care in it. I talked to a lawyer who is also a cop. He told me it happens all the time. People stage a fake accident and then turn around and sue. My insurance company settled wit hher. I told them I wanted to go to court but they told me thst it would be much cheaper to settle.

I once hit a car in front of me but they were sitting perfectly still and I was only going about 1 mile every 8 weeks. All I did was touch their bumper. I HAD the break on but, apparently, they were as good as they should've been (rental car) and it just very slowly drifted forward. I didn't even notice it `til we hit.

Thankfully not. The deer have been crazy lately. I came close to hitting one last week. It was chilling on the side of the road like it gave no fucks about the cars driving by 😂
