Do you defollow, restrict or block when someone or a particular profile annoys you online?

Difference in opinions are bound to arise no matter where you go. It's fine to disagree on some topics as long as they're not a big deal, but when someone has a conflicting view with one of your core values, it can really trigger you. Like if a girl posts an opinion like "All men are scumbags" and says it over and over again, I'm going to block them. Same as if some guy says if you're not a feminist, you don't believe in female rights. I'm gonna block someone that's that stupid. No point in arguing with them.

Sometimes it's fun to beat others in logic and continue the argument, but usually it's just better to block.

Absolutely! There is this one guy who kept saying: "I didn't read that.." and went on a long rants. He was also so biased that I just did not want to see him again. Block.

Then there are people that use ad hominem attacks and nothing else. Block.

People who try to creep on me? Block.

If they're mildly annoying but you see potential for friendly exchange once things cool down... Unfollow only. This leaves the door open for the future.

If they're aggressively offensive and carrying on to no end... Block to avoid unwanted contact.

If you're planning to keep your future posts private... Restrict (and also possibly Block) to avoid unwanted contact.

Only if they DM me and come on to me in a crude or aggressive way, particularly if it is blatantly sexual. I recently switched my account to private, which is to bad that I had to do that because I have made several friends on GAG by having it open.

I don’t have anybody blocked, but several popular accounts on here have blocked me for whatever reasons they have.

I’m not one to judge though, maybe they don’t like me personally, so they blocked me and moved on I suppose, oh well, I met lots of new people on GaG everyday. If one of the ‘veterans’ blocks then it’s whatever I guess, in my opinion more opportunities to socialize with new people and see their questions on this website.

Yeah and I like it when they make it easy like when you refute them with facts then they just call you an asshole with no other defense.
You can't reason with someone who's unreasonable so might as well block them.

yes and then i eventually unblock them to see if they're ok and if they do it again i block them for good. not many cause trouble again
