How do you prefer to communicate with people online?

Personally I don't give out my phone number unless I really know someone, I prefer to use discord and I'm always happy to give it out to anyone who asks, but there are so many different ways to communicate, do you use a chat app, do you video chat, do you go old fashion and talk on the phone, do you use multiple ways for different people and reasons, most people i talk to are players from a game called Torn so discord is kinda required for the more active player, but its the only thing I use. What do you use and why? Is there a difference?

there are plenty of ways that don't involve sharing any sensitive data... I don't share my phone number at all... I use communicators that require sharing a username and don't show any sensitive data but still allow voice or video communication...

That's pretty much discord, you don't have to put a pic, your username can be whatever. by the way I like your name.

I use discord almost exclusively. I don't answer my phone really so I don't bother giving out ny number in most cases.

The only way I communicate online is through GaG.

I totally abhor any form of communication and have no social media except for GaG.

My phone number is only known to my immediate family and I refuse categorically to give it to anyone else.

The only email address I have is the one that was assigned to me by my university and only used for communication with that institution.

If anyone wants to communicate with me, they take a pen and paper and send me a traditional letter through snail mail.

Obviously only my family and closest friends have my number... I phone them and they phone me.

I mostly prefer text or Discord messages for casual chats, but for anything important or complex, jumping on a quick voice or video call is usually better to avoid misunderstandings.
Using AI to level up ONLY because i typed out a thousand-word esoteric answer to a question in the sexuality topic and it says i need to level up first
