Unfortunately you will in the future maybe not right now but if you intend to play newer games, there will be ones that can't be played on the older system.

Much like how Xbox One can't play S/X games. It's a terrible but industry norms.

I got a Steam Deck Oled instead because this is a problem other devices for sure have. Deck will have such problems too but it won't be so clear cut, and there will still be games released onto steam that aren't system heavy.

What are you not understanding here, it's a simple fact that newer switch games will become only playable on a switch 2, therefore you do if you want to play them. This is not a hard concept.

Yes, absolutely. You typically have switches x2 or even 20-40-60. Depends on how many lights, fans and so on, plus size of house.
