I tried once on a hill (don’t ask why) lol
it started to go backward… that was my first and last of a manual car experience.

Manual, of course, but I'm not sure I would bother these days, since cars are all heading for electric drives. Learning to drive a manual these days isn't much different than if I'd learned how to double-de-clutch in the 1980s, there's better technology now that makes it unnecessary. (in my opinion manual is better than old-school automatic because the driver can see what's coming, the engine can't.)

Yeah, drive Mercedes C200 Hybrid, and it’s automatic. I passed my test in a manual, but because we never had one at home, I've lost the skill.
