It's a short barreled rifle chambered in 308
I love H&K. Very high quality but sometimes they can be a little over engineered. I think a.308 needs a minimum 18 inch barrel. This is a battle rifle cartridge after all. My M1A scout has the 18 inch barrel and the muzzle flash is pronounced. They make the M1A SOCOM and Tanker models that have even shorter 16 inch barrels. I think the muzzle flash and blast plus the degraded ballistics from the short barrel makes it not worth it in my opinion.
Normally it's chambered in 7.62x51mm.
.308 benefits more from a longer barrel. Having a.308 in such a small and compact frame kind of hurts the weapon more in my opinion. As you'd probably end up using it in semi-auto like it's larger cousin. And unless you can eliminate the recoil full auto and even burst fire would be difficult to use accurately unless your were just spraying and praying.

Good for the time. Very short to be in 308. Generally you can go wring with Hecklar and Koch.
My opinion is that for home defence 308 is overkill and for mid range use the 308 round is wasted. Not to mention the recoil.
Purpose built. I think you'd find the LMT MRGGa to be more useful though. If compact is what you're after, the 6.5CM in a 14.5" barrel will give you comparable ballistics to a.308 with a 20" pipe.
Gun nutjobs either:
1. Live in fear
OR
2. Relish being an intimidating asshole.
If you don't like firearms, it's okay. But being a jerk about it is another story
These Germans! What are they up to now? 😱😱😱
