In desperate need of help! Does anyone on here have experience with cyber security ?

Basically I am being bullied at work and it has now gotten to the point of them hacking my whatsapp on my phone. I think it maybe through the wifi connection at work but it seems like they have hacked my wifi at home and my phone as well.

I didn't do anything to them to deserve this (if I had I would've just accepted my fate) and I can't believe people would go so far to teach me a lesson. However, I dont feel safe and I need some tips in protecting myself or on how to sever the connection on the wifi.

Ps. One coworker has a Bachelor in Cyber Security.

I am an experienced sysadmin, what your mentioning that the wifi may be hacked because they can read your whatsapp is not accurate. Whatsapp is going to connect over an encrypted connection, you can't just eaves drop that from the network side thats the whole point of modern connectivity.

So, safe to say they aren't in your home wifi and they aren't spying on your whatsapp from the corporate network (Although could from a corporate device if your whatsapp is on the corporate device, us sysadmins depending on how the remote control software is setup may have access to screenshots from your work device at all times).

So, lets say this is a real thing your dealing with. How is it possible?
Two ways. Either they have direct access to the device trough remote control software/malware. Or, they have a device they control paired to your whatsapp.

So first things first, you want to check whats paired to your whatsapp and unpair all of it. That way if its a device of theirs its no longer in control. Second, don't pair it on anything work. Don't open it on a work device at all. If you check your whatsapp its from your personal device only.

Now the personal device situation, them hacking it isn't as likely but possible if they managed to get you to open a program of theirs. Of course, if your work account is on the phone and its paired to the MDM they may again have remote viewing, don't have your whatsapp on something that also has your work account on it. Consider anything with a work account on it potentially compromised since I don't know what methods they made you go trough to get that working. Then make sure your antivirus is actually working, on the website eicar. com you can download a test file which will be detected as a virus. Make sure it detects it and deletes it, if it does its unlikely malware would have persisted on your personal device that never got a work account.

@drygermanguy I am not paranoid. They literally talk the exact same thing I text my family and friends and no my family and friends dont know my coworkers not would they tell their personal business to my coworkers.

I have the same problem but I live in a crappy country, maybe your country has a valid cyber-police that can handle the problem with efficiency.
