Understanding the target market, product or service type, and business objectives helps digital marketers select the best platform. They examine the online activities of the target audience. For instance, B2C brands do better on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, but B2B companies frequently do well on Google Search and LinkedIn. The business goal is also important. While social media is best for brand awareness, SEO and Google Ads are good for generating leads. Timeliness and budget are also taken into account. While SEO offers long-term growth, paid advertisements yield immediate results. Lastly, based on performance, marketers test, monitor, and optimize platforms.

I think you already covered most of it but here was my thinking process when getting my bdsm gear going :
They all have my linktree and feed into each other.
Facebook has The most local traction, especially for gen x And boomers (a large part of my market base).
Content is highly moderated/pg only.
I post finished products here that aren’t visibly clearly kinky (stuff like my wallets, leather bats, floggers hanging, collars not on a person etc). I post here a few times a month.
Instagram has more millenials, likewise heavily moderated. I Just post finished product photos here so people find me when i look. I try to post at least once a week.
TikTok has more gen z and younger millenials. Heavily moderated. This is my main platform, i focus on my indigenous art and can’t post anything in use so do a lot of process vidéos and life update stuff. I generally try to post more or less every day.
Tumblr is more or less unmoderated and i can post photos or vidéos of gear in use. But the reach is awful so i just post finished products and photoshoots here. I post a couple to a few times a month.
Fetlife i post my finished products, personal photos, stories and about the évents i put on.
Of these Facebook has netted The most online sales And TikTok has done The most for my beand visibility and recognition. Mileage variés based on product and market though.
