Which symbol disappeared from modern keyboards that older typewriters had?

I was typing a letter to someone and went to hit the key to the symbol but there wasn't one anymore. Can you guess which one it is?

The cent button was found on old comouter keyboards back in the early 90's but i have never used it and if liam didn't guess it, i couldn't remember it...

I guessed.
I took typing in summer school after 7th grade. I don't remember the ¢ key but I thought there were keys for dollars and cents. Cents had value back then. haha

On my laptop, I push "option" and the 4/$ key. I use it every once in a while.

@Lliam got it right! It's the sign for cents as in dollars and cents.

Please look at his opinion because you will see what it looks like.

I don't know how he got it on there if it's not on the keyboard anymore.

Back in the way back days when everything was inexpensive we would use that symbol a lot.

In fact it wasn't that long ago that I went to use it and that's when I discovered it isn't on cell phones or the newer keyboards. That was a few years ago.
