Message Brokers: To process thousands of events simultaneously without crashing, the backend relies on distributed message brokers (like Kafka or RabbitMQ) to queue, sort, and route traffic.
Real-Time Databases & Caching: The backend continuously reads and writes to ultra-fast memory caches (like Redis) or real-time NoSQL databases, pushing state changes out to subscribed clients instantly.
Business Logic & Security: The server evaluates who is making the request (Authentication), determines if they are allowed to see the data (Authorization), and processes all rules or calculations before broadcasting the update to other users.
