This post was inspired by a friend who was told she had to download an app to order a pizza. Is this what the world has come to? Yikes!

It is not a privilege to buy pizza, I am the customer and they should be thankful for my trade and not make me jump through hoops to get it. I'd refuse point blank to download an app.

I won't do digital parking. Why should I tell my location and time spent at place to these people? Plus every car park uses a different app, I'm not wasting data or time downloading some dodgy 500mb app. It's bad enough i have to help people who struggle with our over complicated parking meters with out telling little old ladies how to download the right app and link it to their bank account.

@Nikki1989 Nikki, I agree with you, and I am resentful of the way the world/society has 'evolved into putting us on a 'digital leash, AND MADE TO FEEL, that if we are not part of it, we are just not in since with the rest of the world.

Since I use the Internet a lot in m daily life, and have a smartphone, in a way I am tied to a digital leash. However, I still read a good book now and again, go outside to read, watch TV and go for rides to places. I am not on that digital leash all the time, and I don't think you should have to download an app to order a pizza. That is still optional at most places, but eventually that could become the norm someday. So, watch out for THAT possibility!!
