So if it's just you paying for everything I'd think like.. $1800 for the hotel.
1k for food, 3k for shopping and entertainment? Then just another 2k for just in case money.
So maybe bring 8k even if you will be spliting costs with friends.
I don't know your shopping habits or what you plan to do for entertainment.
I'd personally bring 10k.

LA is up there on pricey $$$
depends what you’re doing, but id expect on average minimum 100/ day per person not including hotel or activities. Gas is expensive, sales tax 9%, and hard to find a drink under $ 15

Yes. The hotel was $500. And we spent a ridiculous amount of money on Lyfts for transportation (if it was up to me I would of just walked or took a bus everywhere but I was with a “I don’t wanna go on a 15 minute walk my feet hurt boohoo” type of person who wanted to take $30 Lyfts everywhere lol)
But I spent most of the money at the convention I went to. I went to dragcon to meet drag queens from Rupaul and all their prices ranged from $10 - $60 to take a picture with them. And I met 24 of the queens
