Do you often get searched/ targeted at airport security? if so any bizarre experiences or why do you think they do to you?

Just curious really. Every time I fly (maybe once or twice a year) I always get searched through security and bags searched (can’t think why)

No bizarre experiences so far but anyone have any interesting security stories/ experiences? And if you do get searched often why do you think you do?

I've never been searched but my mom, old, overweight and with bad hips and knees stopped flying because she was constantly harassed by the shyt tsa parasites just because they could bully her.
My daughter got separated from me in the security line when she was 12.
They were going to pull her aside for more questions and possibly a search.
I YELLED across to their line and said "if you touch my daughter, you pervert..." and they let her go. Cops came to the end of security and saw me go and question my daughter. They walked away.

I've been asked to open bags a few times and had a full body pat down once at London's Heathrow Airport. This took place in a private booth and was extremely thorough. Even so, the officer was very polite and perfectly professional. I wish we had people like that working in American airports!

Heathrow always does this to me too haha but never private booth luckily!

After reading the question and additional information my reflexive thought was, " what ethnicity are you?" sounds f-d up but sad truth is that certain ethnicities are targeted more than others in different situations due to racism and prejudice.

As a black woman, I have yet to be searched abnormally so unless the scanners go off for one of my bobby pins altering it.

I bet for sure, in most case I think that could be something they target unfortunately. But since you asked white Caucasian, I think it’s certain people I don't know

Oh all the time, mainly because the metal detector doesn't always work with my height. It's a couple of minutes, I don't care.

Not airport security. But everytime I return to the US from Canada, using the Vancouver crossing, the guards always find some kind of issue.

Tall, moderately tattooed, muscular but doesn’t really show as I’m just wearing hoodie and leggings but I think everyone else also is? I don't know kinda normal looking I think haha
