Don't you get jealous when someone has something good but doesn't enjoy it?

My dream vacation destination is Japan. My aunt is currently in Vietnam, which is 6 hours away from Japan by plane. She can EASILY fly over to Japan but has been in Vietnam for 4 months and doesn't plan on traveling anywhere but Vietnam. I wish I could go to Japan and I can't. My aunt can go, but doesn't want to. Like what the heck?

Sure, we get jealous of things that we do not have current access to, and get angry at people who have access to such items/abilities and do not make use of them, but reverse that thought for a moment.


Imagine the things you have right now, the abilities or items you have that you don’t use or just consider so “mundane” that you barely pay them any mind. Now imagine people in other parts of the world that don’t have those things, and how they probably feel the same way about you as you feel about your aunt.

If you visit Japan, I recommend visiting Kyoto at some point. It is an amazing city.

I guess everyone has their own thing, she prob won't enjoy it. I always wanted to go to Japan and almost got to go at 20... but now am nearly 40 and still hoping!
