I don't. I like being in the ground.

I'll play space Engineers or Kerbal Space Program. That's as close to space as i want to get.

The phrase high velocity man-made objects in space are what i fear the most. It's like going to amateur night at a gun range and standing in the middle of the target zone with a sign that says not a target, don't shoot me.

I get most of these sit in a certain area of space in an orbit around the earth. But the sheer # of things that can go wrong, don't give me hope to making it back to earth if it does.

Only if we actually went somewhere... like the moon. To date, only 24 humans have ever left low earth orbit, and all of them were Appollo astronauts (12 walked on the moon).

If the trip is just going up 50 miles, enough to qualify as an astronaut in the USA), or orbiting in a space station, I'll pass.

Hahaha! I believe it’s fairly optimistic of you to expect another “few thousand years” out of this planet short of a cataclysmic event that would likely claim you too. Ell oh ell! And the question is more about tourist trips to “outer space”. As one commenter pointed out is really outer inner space.

Probably not. Space is fascinating, but there's so much to see and do here on our own Earth.
