I've visited 8 times and always enjoyed myself, lots of amazing history, great beaches, amazing food and very friendly people... except for the carpet salesmen in Istanbul!

I liked visiting Istanbul, I don’t like Erdogan. I shall return to Istanbul, when Erdogan is gone.

I spent two weeks in Antalya region, and Turkey is by far the most modern and civilized Western country, but it seems like everyone is out to rip you off, which really ruined the place for me. But I would still prefer to return to Turkey than visit Gulf of North African countries.
