I usually park a reasonable distance from the entrance and walk, often where it's less crowded so I don't have to worry about some inattentive driver hitting my car.

Walking is good exercise.

That depends, on if I'm rushed, if I'm on vacation, if I'm late for an appointment or I just feel like walking!

Far out, I don't mind walking in and it is funny to watch others sit in their car and wait ten minutes for a close spot. I get in faster than them and sometimes come out and they still waiting for a close spot and finally get it as I am leaving.
