I don't live there, yet. My husband is Aussie and from Perth. We have gone to his hometown a couple of times. We actually got married there end of last year. It is an amazing city. We were there for the whole month of December practically and I still felt like I did not have enough time there.

While we are still living in my home country at the moment, our intention is to permanently move to Australia later this year. There is a lot to take care of to make that all happen.

He has to make sure the representatives for his company are capable and doing well before he moves so far away. There is only so much you can monitor remotely like that and it isn't exactly a short trip to get back. Then there is the fact that I would be leaving my job as well.

In the end, we will end up there permanently. That is something that I am very much looking forward to because of what a wonderful country (the parts I have seen) it is. The people are amazingly friendly. I really cannot wait until we do.

been there a few times. the politics down there is quite extreme. crazy extreme weather and dangerous critters alongside some funny folks there too. there's a huge sports and drinking culture as well.

I lived in Alice Springs for nearly 3 years.

Alice Springs is a very remote town in the middle of the Outback, over 1000 miles to another large city. Has a small population, just over 25,000 people, lots and lots of flies. To live there you would have to enjoy living in isolation, not much to do.
