Is Turkey a good place to take a vacation?

I just included a few of these beauties. Do you think I can vacation there with 10 thousand dollars? I heard that 1 dollar is 24 liras, sounds good. Where should I go,?

Turkey is a very nice country to go on vacation but $10K is way too much for a regular vacation of 1-2 weeks. You can get excellent accommodation and cheap food for a third of that budget.

I visited Turkey on 2 occasions and I personally liked Istanbul and the Izmir area. If you are in that region, make sure to include a day trip to Ephesus and its fantastic ruins.

While in Istanbul, a visit to Topkapi Palace, the spice market across from Galata bridge as well a visit to the covered bazaar is a must. Also, don't forget to visit the Hagia Sophia mosque.

Now, other places worth a visit are of course Pamukkale and the troglodyte city in Cappadocia.

Try to stay on the old town side of Istanbul where most sights are. Depending on your budget, you have several options to choose from for your stay. There is one nice small hotel called Vogue Hotel Supreme Istanbul (https://www. voguehotelsupreme. com/vogue-istanbul/en/) you can check out. This hotel is quite centrally located in old Istanbul.

I have a friend that has been there and actually traveling Europe again this summer. She is returning to Turkey for a second time she liked it so much. So, based solely on her experience, I would say go for it. 10K is more than enough I would think. Probably can do it for half that depending on how long you stay. Have fun!
