What’s your favorite city in California?

I’ve been to most of America, and California is my favorite state. Truly a beautiful state, especially compared to my state. Amazing nature, amazing friends, and polite people with fantastic manners. With many magical places in the amazing state of California, it could be hard to choose a favorite, as California never fails to impress!

"Red" means Conservative. I don't know when it flip flopped honestly, but when I grew up there in the 90s and early 2000s, San Diego county was very Conservative.

This is true. San Diego is a little messier than it used to be. You need to be a little more careful than you did 20 years ago but it’s still a nice place so long as you’re smart. It’s far, far, safer than LA and the wife and I outright refuse to ever return to that third world cesspool that is San Francisco or most of the Bay Area anymore.

You are clearly not from SoCal. San Diego flipped red to blue years ago. There are a few small conservative pockets but it’s soundly and firmly In Democratic hands, like every single major city in California.

I go to Sacramento a lot, either visiting or passing through. A few years ago it was a wonderful city, and was even ranked as the most racially tolerant city in the country. Now when you drive in on the highway, you see homeless camps, and you see frequent reports on the news about tweakers, crime and racial violence.
