What type of beach backdrop do you like best?

I prefer rocky coves and rocky beaches personally, but I'm used to beaches just giving way gradually to fields.

Llanrhystud Beach? Not too far from me

Yup. Llanrhystud. It was always the most popular beach along the A487. Probably still is. I knew most of the beaches between Aberaeron and Aberystwyth pretty well since I lived close to the former and went to school at the latter. Still feel a bit guilty I haven't been back in a few decades, but my family all left the area, so I'd have nowhere to go to.

My favourite Island -yes it has a (small) beach- is backed with moderately rocky hills, and a rainforest.

Tourists, and fisherman alike will not visit it as of my experience.

There's also a small cave to sleep in.

And best of all: no one lives there (although it's close enough to the next 7eleven,,, if you have a boat.

It's difficult to pick one of these when living where Siesta Key beaches are just a few miles from our home. They have won best beaches in US many times with soft pure white sand. This area is near Sarasota, FL

I like a secluded beach. A forested backdrop to a beach you have to hike into is perfect.

I believe it's on the island of St. Martin that the beach is up against the end of a runway. Airliners land right over the beachgoer's heads. My kind of place. 😀

I kind like the city especially with big skyscrapers in big cities like LA or Tokyo.
