I went to the Capuchin Crypts in Rome. I MIGHT visit another one, though I'll admit some of these seem really creepy. The one in Rome wasn't so traumatizing or scary as you weren't actually surrounded by them.

Goodness this is so creepy I didn't know we used to do this kind of stuff, I don't think i would be able to stomach it. I would want to visit it but I would need to some time before entering to process everything and go eat something after getting out of there xD
I know, I took my mom with me and she was so freaked out.
The one I visited in Rome were Capuchin monks. The others ones, I'm not sure, but it seems like most of them are church people. Priests, monks, etc...
Speaking of which, I'm really glad I caught you, 'cuz I want to ask you something. Do you have anything planned for this summer? I've been thinking about maybe going to Alsace sometimes after the Olympics if it's not too expensive. I could probably convince my mom. I know you've been wanting to go with your grandma. But I haven't brought anything up yet. While it IS a place I'd like to visit, the main reason I want to France is to meet YOU. So if not, I would probably put it off, but I don't know if they're gonna implement those stupid online visas or not.
It would honestly be more fun to do it with you, especially since those villages look so romantic ^_^
Not surprising especially if she didn't know what she got into
That is so weird but also interesting.
Sadly I'm booked all summer (as I usually am to be honest, cause I go to see my family, they all live appart in various French location, the south, the middle of France, the Alps, etc..). Too I don't have the money to go to Alsace either, my grandma is sick so we put her in a special house for old sick people (she could not be take care of at home, needed medical attention full time, alzeimer and this is horribly expensive, 4000 euros a months).
I don't know anything about visas but French town hall and stuff generally take 4 to 8 months to deliver a visas. For us French people to get a passport it take 1 years. Cause not enough worker.
I tried to explain, but I guess she still didn't know exactly what she was getting into. She also didn't like the smell. I don't blame her though.
When I went to Poland my stupid uncle took me to the cemetery on my second day to see my grandma's grave and my dad's friends' graves and I went into shock and started crying and was still crying when we got back to my aunt's house. I was 18 at the time. So you definitely want to mentally prepare for a place like this, otherwise it can be a traumatic experience and can mess you up.
Oh damn, I'm sorry about your grandma. :(
It's not a really a visa, it will just be some extra paperwork you have to fill out and a fee you have to pay. Was supposed to be implemented years ago, but they keep postponing it.
I understand and am not surprised, especially about the money part. It might be quite expensive. I thought I'd ask anyways, and there was a part of me that was hoping.
I've only ever been able to meet one person I met online and she went to my old high school. Some of them, I was in their countries, including yours and didn't meet them. It's so annoying. I want to stop wishing and making these things happened. But I also know how difficult it is to coordinate something like this.
wtf? whyyyyy do they be doing that? building out of human bones? i would check it out if I happened to be in the area, but i 100% wouldn't track it down intentionally.
