What do you like to do when going to the beach?

Question

I lay out, take boat rides, jet skiing, bonfires, partying, and most importantly, surfing. I also enjoy a bar and restaurant on a pier or atop of a hotel, especially at night! What is your favorite activity to do when going to the beach?

Turning around and going home.
1. The beach stinks. Literally...(*)
2. The beach is crowded.
3. Travel costs to get to the beach including tolls and parking.
4. And then you get sand in the car when going home.
5. I'm such a honkey, I'll get skin cancer.
6. The water at the beach has things that can eat you or at least your exposed parts like toes, penis, and testicles.

These are some reasons that I permanently left Long Island (*) to move upstate and now live in rural Missouri. I've never had a compulsion to own a boat like my father did.

I used to live close to the Atlantic Ocean. I was literally born only a few hundred yards (if that) from the ocean. We boated quite a bit. I was just not really a sea person and, after "Jaws" came out in 1975, I didn't feel a compelling need to go back; especially since we had an in-ground pool since the summer of 1972. The benefits of that:

1. No crowds.
2. Privacy.
3. Infinitesimal commute.
4. Nothing in the water that can bite you, stab you, pince you, or eat you.
5. Skinny dipping!

(*) You think people are going to pay $80 a bottle to smell like dead fish and seaweed? That's why people take showers when they come home from the beach. It's an objectionable, offensive odor.

I might go to a beach bar for a drink or a meal on a warm evening or just take the dog for a splash about in the shallows. On some nights I'll get together with friends and we'll make a fire to cook sausages on. Sometimes it's fun just to go down and people watch.

As for me I love the beach & I go all the time & I love my solar therapy days. As for the beach I love to walk by the waters edge & just walk & enjoy life. I love treasure hunting looking for the perfect shells, sand dollars & unusual finds. I love bodysurfing & taking the waves in & swimming as well. I love packing my cooler & parking my chair in the sand & parking my ass in my chair & just chillax & become one with the world. Go skinny dipping at night and have sex amidst the breakers. I once rented a little bungalow right on beach in Ochoa Rio, Jamaica. The first night I was there with current lover and we were getting close to finishing when 3 carloads of college girls pulled up and took over house and beach. When they finally saw us I had to work things out with them and came out of the surf with my disco still hard. It was the daughter and her friends from College vacation oin the states. We had rented place from her Mother who had no idea her daughter was bring 12 people. to house when she rented to us. Beautiful. Try to walk on my hands across the beach, handstand pushups, sand castles, bury people and make them into mermaids or some kind of art with their heads poking out.

I really want to surf too and think I can pick it up pretty easily, but I've never been on a surfboard before.

I like swimming the most and fucking with the waves. I tend to get out there swimming around to the point that lifeguards come out and ask me to stay closer to the beach.

I build shapes using sands ( no I'm not a kid ), it's art for me. I lay on the chair and just relax. I let a friend put sunscreen on me and massage me. I swim from time to time.

I mostly just relax and sunbathe or enjoy the breeze under an umbrella, and go in the water to cool off. If it's at a resort I'll usually have some sort of frozen intoxicating beverage nearby.
