I'm going to Thailand in about a month with my dad and daughter. It'll be the first time I go to a country where they don't speak English so I'm a bit nervous (although my dad speaks Thai).

I live in Thailand , where are you going? Dont worry about language it will not be a remote issue " Pud Thai dai nid noy krub " - and I can count very well , which is important , but unless in Isaan or something it will not matter.

We are traveling atm. In Japan and we don’t speak Japanese … we are able to get by.
we were in Korea… most understand and was able to communicate with us much better.
next will be Taiwan…I can understand Chinese so not an issue.
after that. Will be Thailand for 3 weeks sometime in August. I am not too worry becuse it’s such a touristy country and they see a lot of foreigners especially Europeans… prob. even easier than Japan.
