Which of these Mediterranean countries do you find most interesting and appealing?

There are a few Mediterranean countries that I have visited and found to be interesting.

Those are Italy, Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Spain and Portugal.

Each one has its positive and negative sides. The ones I have found to be less problematic in terms of security for women traveling alone would be Spain, Greece, Croatia. Problems are definitely found in France, Italy and Turkey.

Each country has good food, interesting culture and museums, a long history and interesting people.

The places I liked most are Crete and Santorini in Greece, Istanbul and Izmir (Ephesus), Florence, Rome and Venice in Italy.

Each city has its charm.

@Abbycado Yes, they are magnificent. But if you like horses, I would recommend you visit Vienna in Austria and assist to a horse show of the Spanish Riding School. I was there in December 2023 and it was just spectacular. They ride solely the white mares of the Lipizzan race. Expensive but well worth spending that kind of money
