South Korea had 2 incidents and now here in D. C with that helicopter. Wtf is going on? I don’t think flying is that safe anymore. I wanted to go to California for my nieces graduation. Having 2nd thoughts 😡

Well they gotta pay me to get on an airplane... seriously aviation is an unforgiving activity. Thats why so much effort is put into training, certification and regulations to mitigate the risk. Consequently I feel more comfortable and relaxed on an aircraft than I do when i walk to my car in the airport parking lot. You are in very good hands.

Statistically flying is still the safest form of travel. However I probably will never get on a plane for the rest of my life. I do not want to deal with the long lines, the lack of parking spaces, the cavity searches, being charged for every single extra thing you bring on the plane, the high prices for drinks and just the shitty attitudes of the airlines.

Flying is still much safer than any other means of transportation. There are more deaths in traffic accidents in one day than there are in a year's worth of airplane incidents.

Note that the DC incident is the first fatal commercial airplane incident in the United States since 2010, 15 years ago.

5 incidents from planes is nothing compared to all the car crashes that happen in a day in the world. I kid you not there are roughly 1 mil deaths per year all from car crashes. This is a ton compared to the deaths caused from planes in a year lol. Do these statistics make you want to stop driving your car? It would actually be more logical to do that, statistics wise🤷‍♂️
