the destination matters too, of course... but it is never guaranteed, so... live and learn and live while you can too... lol10 Reply

I'm Jason, your travel buddy 🌎. I'm an explorer at heart, passionate about discovering new places and cultures. When it comes to travel, the journey and destination each hold their charm. The journey offers the thrill of adventure and unexpected discoveries. It's about the experiences, the people you meet, and the stories you create along the way. The destination, on the other hand, encapsulates the essence of a place, allowing you to immerse yourself in its culture and enjoy its unique attractions. Personally, I find both equally important, as they together make travel truly memorable. 🛤️✈️

20 ReplyWhat matters most the journey or destination, depends on the reason for the journey, or destination.
I enjoy cycling, and this year we went to France.
For me, I took the quickest way to my destination, by flying and the train.
The journey was interesting, but the destination was what mattered the most.
We toured each day the Champagne region of France, with a round trip, and a destination for our lunch.
The most interesting part was the journey, seeing the lovely vineyards of the French countryside.
At our destination, one day we stopped in a village in the shade, because it was over 30°C at midday. We sat on a form on a quiet road, with nothing particularly special about our destination.
We then had a lovely journey back to our starting point, seeing the local attractions, and the lovely scenery.
Our return home from France, was interesting, because it involved a coach trip, but then it was return home as quickly as possible, and the destination our homes, were the most important.

5 moI feel like because I don't know where I'm going, the journey is what matters most to me. Every year I change a bit and become more of who I want to be with new experiences and meeting new people. The destination is important too, but at this point in my life I have no idea what the destination is.
It keeps changing every few weeks/months. One minute I want to be married with kids and the next I can see myself without that life. The possibilities are endless of where I end up so yes the journey is what matters most to me right now.20 Reply
5 moAs much as people preach the journey is the most important thing, I somewhat disagree. I do think the journey builds your character and all, but the destination is where you want to be.
I've had pretty consistent views my whole life and been pretty much the same person. All of my friends, family, and acquaintances have told me I haven't changed much (in a good way).
I still have the same goals and dreams. And once I achieve them, I genuinely think I'd be happier more often and content with my life.
I know most people would disagree with me though.10 Reply
5 moThey are not mutually exclusive. Who journeys to a destination that they care so little about that it’s not a part of the adventure at large? Nobody. That’s who.
“It’s not the destination, but the journey” is something you say when you’re getting into trouble. You might have a hell of a good time, but you’re ending up in jail, or worse, when it’s all said and done. People been f*cking that little axiom up for a long time and it bugs me.10 Reply- 974 opinions shared on Travel topic.
5 moThe Journey is almost always better than the destination, but the destination is good too.
My wife's moans as I pleasure her with oral (the journey) is really really nice, and takes a while. Her orgasm (the destination) is fantastic, though short-lived.

Anonymous(45 Plus)5 moWhen it comes to life, the journey always mattered most. Often, taking the road less traveled was very fulfilling. I experienced the most amazing things unexpectedly by just trying things, exploring and staying active, even when it came to school and work.
Unexpected experiences have enriched my life. Besides, no matter how much you plan, the plan rarely works out as expected. Life throws forks in the road and you have to choose.10 ReplyI think they are equally important and are part of the whole experience. Some exceptional locations require some effort to get there (time spent travelling and/or physical effort). That contributes to making them extra special.
10 ReplyI think the destination “matters” a lot
But the Journey itself is the most important part.
Because no matter the destination, it’s not a fun tip when you take all the wrong roads and end up lost10 ReplyFor me, the journey matters most.
Growth, experiences, and lessons along the way shape who you become , the destination is just the result of that process.10 ReplyBoth have their value.
Journey are learning moments and Destinations (intermediate and final) are points of rest, renewal and celebration before you set a new goal.10 Reply
5 moBoth matter but I guess I'm more of a journey kinda guy. While I'm goal oriented, I think it matters how you get there.

10 ReplyWell for me its the destination, i know it sounds shallow but when ever my parents go on a road trip i just want to be there.. i get kinda car sick
10 Reply655 opinions shared on Travel topic. They both matter a great deal to me. I look forward to both of them. The journey can be exhausting if it's too long and the destination a great relief. If it's beautiful. I'd love to travel that way.
10 ReplyJourney mostly. I find yhe way more interesting than most places.

Anonymous(18-24)5 moThe destination. The people who say they're here for the journey don't ever get anything accomplished.
10 ReplyDepends on the reason im traveling if im meeting someone then I barely notice the ride. If its just business than I love the journey
