His first of directives... open up free/cheap public toilets in NYC!

I have to applaud him here. NYC, is a crap hole... anyone that's been to Paris, Taipei or even China knows this... it's so miserable to find a place to go when you gotta go.

That said, public toilets are a mess and disaster in every country I've been to except some places tended by professional tenants. Outside of London they were shut down, due to being frequently destroyed. That will be required to have tendants, else they will be trashed like everything else in NYC.

The local coffee and pastry shops will take a hit as people can "go" elsewhere without buying a little something, but that won't be too bad.

Put one notch on the belt of the mayor Mamdani... now known... as "Batman"!

My apologies to my European and Asian colleagues whom are probably sick of hearing about the USA and our problems. We have serious problems, and you know that and we're going through a bipolar time in our short history... trying to figure out whom we are, and what we will be.

Some are moving to Florida but most seem to want to be in Texas. Neither state has State income tax and property values are a lot less than NY.

I was in Air Force ROTC and during basic training there was an eye test that I could not pass so I was dropped from the program.

I understand requirements have changed for flying, but not sure if that's in air force. you'd only need to identify as a person with good vision now.

The was a color threshold test. there were 64 colors you had to identify and 50 was passing. I just missed it so they gave me the test 2 more times but every time I scored a little worse. My best friend was a black kid who tested positive for sickle cell anemia so he was dropped as well along with another kid who could not clear his ears at altitude. They were really strict about it.

That sounds like a good thing. I also applaud the creation of jobs for public restroom attendants because, you're right, the only public restrooms I've ever used that were clean were manned by full-time attendants.
