I like lightweight cars (sedans or 2 seaters) with a low center of gravity and a low polar moment of inertia. All of my current cars have those traits plus AWD, an electronic brake based handling control, and electronic brake based ride control. Those traits provide all of the fun that I can wring out of the real world roads where I live without killing myself or someone else. Other than that, quick steering, flat cornering response, and top of the line tires are my priorities.

I prefer an energy-efficient hatchback, good for getting from point A to point B, yet big enough to carry a reasonable amount of things.

Having said that, I drove a hatchback for 12 years before switching to a compact sedan, which I've now been driving for 15 years.

I have three cars, but the one I like the best is my Porsche. It is a two-seater convertible sports car. It doesn't fit any of the descriptions in this question. I am very partial to sports cars. I like driving them, riding in them, and just handling them. The Porsche is absolutely the best car I've ever owned. It was expensive, and it was worth every penny of it.
