Since I don’t know your city yet, I’ll give an example using Istanbul, one of my favorite places:

Istanbul is most famous for being the city that connects Europe and Asia. It’s known for its rich history, beautiful mosques like Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, the Bosphorus Strait, busy bazaars, and amazing food such as kebabs and baklava. The mix of cultures makes it truly special.

I would say it is most famous for being the scene for an extremely popular recent TV series. The funny thing is that not much was actually shot here. It does reference places around town.

Another is a man-made lake that we have here. It was dammed by the Army engineers way back when. Because of this lake and the way that it is made, we are a huge tourist destination spot in the midwest where there are not a lot of large lakes.

No, they weren't testing anything. Our state just doesn't have lakes really. So they dam up valleyes to make artificial lakes.

The one I live by isn't the only one they made in the state. Ours is just famous because of the TV show that bases itself on our location.
