What's your favorite Hawaiian island?

I think Kauai or Lanai. The Big Island the first time I ever went was great, but the second time I went more recently, all the things that were harder to get to before are now more accessible and overrun with tourists. I have no been to Maui since the fire, but I enjoyed it before that. Oahu is just plain awful.

Damn, that sucks about Big Island.
I think Kauai was my fav too. It has a ton of cool places, most of them free, and is not very touristy/developed. Though literally after I visited they closed a bunch of attractions

I only spent a couple hours on Lanai

Maui was my first island. I visited way back in 2011. It was interesting but a bit too commercialized and Americanized. I heard it's gone a little downhill, even before the fire.

I wouldn't call Oahu "awful", but it was my least favorite by far. I thought Downtown Honolulu and the historic and Asian stuff was cool, but the rest was very overrated. Pearl Harbor was not worth it at all, and so much of the island was so fake and commercialized.

you can just sit me at the Fairmont Maui and if i feel like doing something i will. otherwise just keep bringing me food and drinks
