I m actually grateful right now, even if the other issues still persist, like being lonely and physically unwanted by all women. I hear the US is getting worse, eh? How bad is it?

Its gotten pretty bad here, Diesel is now $6.39 or so a gallon, gas around $5.90.
Housing is so bad, if I wanted to move I wouldn't be able to. Cars are terrible, after my accident in December, trying to find a replacement vehicle was a nightmare.
A used one, with less features than the one that got totaled and a 100,000 miles was $70,000 but a brand new one was $85,000 used cars have never been higher in price than they are now. New cars have never been higher either.
Tons of businesses have shut down forever, possibly due to covid but those still open are under staffed. My own company decided to outsource all the tech support positions, because starting pay of $20 an hour wasn't even getting anyone to apply (who qualified.)
They decided they can't raise prices cause it would drive customers to competitors, which technically would be true... as the competitors already outsource.
Those jobs are never coming back, due to the labor shortage.
The high price of fuel has made everyone cut back on other spending, food, household, etc... but in the Rural western US no one can really cut back on driving. We have no mass transit, and riding a bike 40 miles down a scary two lane highway to the city is a death sentence from drivers who text while driving.
Starting to see a lot of people driving ATV's on roads now, illegally to get better mileage.
Food is going sky high, I decided to plant a huge garden this year... which in the desert kind of sucks cause water is going up in price.
Fast food, this year alone. A place I used to go had a special I'd get for 4.99 then in march they raised it to 6.99 and now its up to 8.99. Even McDonalds upped their 10 dollar bundle to 15 dollar bundle now, heck of a jump there.
I expect the economy is going to take a hit, as the high tech sector already has started too take hits. As spending shifts more towards gas, means less spending for everything else.
I can tell you too, the price of beef and chicken, meat in general is going to go sky high. Simply due to less supply than demand.
@Aerissa_Jade
Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear it. Do you blame Biden for all this, or other factors?
Biden for 80% of it, Gas was literally 2.13 the day he took office... and it had doubled before the war had even started that they want to blame it on.
I have never imagined that things could get so bad in such a short time frame. Even in 2020 during covid it was not this bad. It seemed like there was a light at the end of the tunnel and that once we had vaccines everything would go back to normal. Now so many things are screwed up nobody knows what to do. Gas is over 5 bucks and food is doubled as as well. Things that are necessities like meat and eggs have more than doubled. Crime is an issue way more than a year ago. I just bought two firearms and went for training a couple of weeks ago. I am not the only one. I have a summer house that I will probably not use again this summer. It is almost a hundred bucks to drive there. My retirement account has taken a hit as well.
Two years ago I was really optimistic about my future now I am just hoping that the deocrats don't decide to seize all my assets and give them to illegal aliens.
Biden blames everyone else when he really should be looking in the mirror.
6$ a gas here is not cool i tried costco and for some reason i think its watered down cause my car eats it up when i use Aarco it stays but it cost 85$ to fill up my car lol and it last me at least 2 weeks cause stores are close to me and i just do pick ups.
And when i wanna order my fav pizza from round table its 35$ damn dollars? So i have to settle for sams club pizza for 8$ lol but everywhere else is way to much now i wuit eating fast food. And food at Target cost a lot more and that pisses me off. Hahaha

Pretty bad. I been getting about a 5% raise per year, not a lot but it held stable with standard inflation. I usually track my monthly bills and shopping expenses. Gas is double what it was a year ago, utility bills are about 10% higher and food costs are also up about 10% as well. Meat in particular is more than 10%. I also own 2 dogs and pay just a couple bucks more, but the same bag of dog food now carries about 10% less food. Inflation and shrinkflation are real and it is scary if you are middle class or poor.
its the worst economy since the 1970s we can't get supplies since gas is so expensive due to the Biden gas hike (he's trying to blame Putin but thats a lie) all meats have gone up almost 100% i'm spending 60$ to fill my gas tank and i drive a ford focus which get 32 MPG so yea pretty bad
My grocery bill for two people in my home, my wife and my self, use to be about 350 to 400 per month. Last month was my highest ever month for food and we are eating less, at 780.. Yeah thank you Joe Biden.
