Because there’s crazy ass people out there who are obsessed w this kind of stuff. Seems like a lot of women are I to this type of stuff, watching SVU, murder mysteries, murder trials, etc. don’t get me wrong some men too but seems to me like women tend to watch that kind of stuff more. There were numerous women who were obsessed w Charles Manson. One even married him while he was in prison. I will say though that a lot of men wanted to fuck Jodie Arias, some jokingly, some serious even if it meant potential death.

I guess there's collectors out there who will buy anything that's rare, famous, or infamous. I remember seeing that some lead singer of a rock band owns Ted Bundy's volkswagen Beetle that he used to abduct women. It seems in bad taste to me and kind of insensitive to the reality of the pain and suffering these killers caused. I feel like even their personal belongings are creepy, but they're probably interesting and strangely thrilling to others. Also I guess there's a show out right now about Dahmer so they probably thought now is the time to get the most money for the items.

Because Dahmer is one of the few killers who seems to regret but cannot help what he does. So I guess that makes him a better than John who was one who enjoyed that he was evil.
Plus collectors are collectors. Whether it be lighter from WW2 with a bullet in it or Glasses of a man who couldn't help his need to do weird ass shit.
