Convicted murderer Christa Pike survived 2 lethal injections. Is God trying to tell us something?

[exitseven]

Christa Pike was heard snoring after getting two lethal injections. Tennessee Governor has halted all lethal injections until it can be determined what happened. Do you think it was Divine Intervention?

[AviatorTom]

I don't think God is telling us anything. We've lost the expertise to properly carry out an execution. Liberals have argued that executions must not be "cruel and unusual punishment", complying with the 8th Amendment to the US Constitution. What is more cruel than a lethal injection that isn't lethal?

Here's George Carlin explaining how executions should really be done. You can skip the first minute if you want.

[strateguy632]

this is your proof? lost the expertise? the 'proper procedure for testing the lethal drugs' had not been followed.

[IHaveRespawned]

I used to be an Advanced EMT who started IV lines. Sounds like they blew the vein based on the description being told. You can even get a flash in the flash chamber, giving the false impression that patent access has been established. Based on previous reports, it sounds like her vein structure was not ideal or easy for IV access.

Absolute incompetence. I've seen fairly large animals drop in seconds from exactly the same drug and they all went down very relaxed. You don't need much, about 30ml would be more than adequate for a human.

Either the pentibarbitol was very low quality or they didn't hit the vein. Look at it this way, hospitals inject thousands of veins a day to knock people out for operations, it's not hard.

It was pure incompetence nothing more

[exitseven]

The job probably went out to bid and the low man got it

[Iron_Man]

When I was in the hospital, sometimes they had trouble getting Blood out of my vain The nurses are dumb. And if you’re not drinking a lot of water, they have trouble.

[purplepoppy]

Common problem but anyone trained should be able to find another vein. In this execution they could have also injected straight into the heart or liver

[Iron_Man]

The whole thing was horrible. Just let her go back to prison she’s had enough and she’s probably repented of her sins for what she did, but that was horrible to

[EmmaMary]

The USA needs to seriously scrap the death penalty... period.

After two attempts why can't they just leave her in prison?

[Anonymous]

The lethal injection is typically a cocktail of drugs. Usually something to put the person asleep and something to paralyze them. They're supposed to use enough of the paralytic to stop the heart and lungs from functioning while the person asphyxiates.

The reputable drug companies do not license their products for this use. They don't want their brands associated with killing. It's anyone's guess where the executioners got their meds. They may have been long expired, improperly stored or prepared.

[Chazmatazz269]

Nope. Human error.
I’m an eye for an eye kinda guy. They should find some psycho who is willing to do to her exactly what she did to her victim, Colleen Slemmer. It was extraordinarily brutal and gruesome. Pike needed to die thirty years ago. She’s long overdue.

[Just_Ken]

That the bastard deserves to suffer. Try the electric chair or a noose

[Iron_Man]

It’s all horrible what she did and what happened to her Do you agree?

[exitseven]

Yes, I think they should use some of the fentanyl that the DEA confiscates at the southern border to use in lethal injections. A little goes a long way.

[Iron_Man]

She’s gone through enough I think just let it go put her back in prison of course I understand if it’s my daughter, I would flip

[strateguy632]

people think budhism is 'peaceful' but this budhist killed a teen. horrible as you @Iron_Man
wrote.

[strateguy632]

yes. need to check expiration date.

[exitseven]

Hahhaha

[strateguy632]

you got the double meaning. genius! 👍

[Interstate]

Could be. It could be God's way of saying she was wrongfully convicted. I'm not familiar with the case. I'm just saying it is a possibility..

[sage2021]

I think that someone wasn't doing their job properly.
Then again, I'm not God either.🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

[shish_kebab]

In the movie Law Abiding Citizen, Gerard Butler hacks into the prison's computer system and switches the drugs used in the lethal cocktail.

But instead of making it a watered down version, he makes it an extra painful version. He did that because the criminal murdered his wife and daughter.

[888theGreat]

God will consider the people that execute her , murderers like her.

[NathanDavis]

that would be quite sadistic if he did...

[loveslongnails]

LOL No, it was "operator error".

[robocop666]

injections were too small
