Would you tell her if she smells bad??

This is unusual-I've never known a girl who smelled bad, but if this girl has a personal hygiene problem and is smelly, then she should be made aware of it. Some tact and diplomacy needed, though, as it's the kind of thing that could really destroy someone's confidence and cause lasting damage. This guy's obviously an a**hole for just hitting her with it in such a crude way.

The overweight thing is the same. Overweight is not an attractive look, so fat girls (and guys) should be encouraged to slim down.

Well I would pull her aside and let her know nicely hey I'm not trying to be rude but do you know that you smell pretty bad and that oder is kinda nauseating. So they don't get all defensive in front of other people especially if you just met them. With a relationship with someone you can tell them anything and get away with it and they will take it the right way, but with out it he should be more careful how it talks.

I would have said "Something stinks in here" and let her put 2 and 2 together. And then that would have been the last time we hung out.

That was really rude of him to say it like that. Yeah, she smelled bad, but him telling her she smells like shit in front of everyone is not going to magically make the smell go away. People who do stuff like that are just fooling themselves if they think it's going to solve a problem, they just want an excuse to be an asshole.

And unless you have M. D. At the end of your name and spent 8 years in medical school, you have no right telling someone they need to lose weight. WTF, can I just go up to ugly people and tell them they need to get plastic surgery?

He could have been a bit more tactful about it, but honesty is ALWAYS the best policy. She may have been a bit red faced at the time, but she will now forever be more careful about the way she smells.

Some people have a natural strong body odor, but that's what deo, body sprays and perfume is for.

He probably shouldn't have said it like that. I think he should have said it subtly. Like something smells funny in here. If a guy did that to me I would want to smell my armpits or something to see if ti was me. But I would much rather tell someone I smelled bad than have me going around all day stinking up the place.
