That is funny, but doesn’t make a whiff of sense.

Maybe if I was to dig for meaning in that, it is like putting in the effort to not advance your career, but obtain the education level necessary in your given field to achieve the ability to get a career out of it. Only then can you truly begin to fake it until you make it.
