I keep asking people on here to provide evidence for some improbable thing they have said, and getting a response wherein they simply repeat what they originally said, or reference a Youtube video, or worst of all, say "It is true and you can tell because I said it." What kind of incredulous bullshit is this?
Anonymous(18-24)7 moIf you disagree with someone's opinion then the burden I'd upon you to prove them wrong with evidence or ignore it.
For instance a special intrest group can fund statistics, scientific studies, surveys and polls to prove just about anything they want, 79% of people know this to be true.

Opinion Owner7 moNo it's on you if you say they are wrong
Opinion Owner7 moNo it's up to you to accept their view point or disprove it. Did Galileo demand proof that the sun revolves around the earth or did he prove thd opposite to very true?
Opinion Owner7 mo@goaded Jupiter is orbited by numerous objects, most notably its 95 known moons. These moons include the four largest, known as the Galilean moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto), as well as many smaller moons and even a few groups of moons like the Amalthea and Thebe groups. Additionally, Jupiter is surrounded by faint rings composed of dust and debris.
Opinion Owner7 mo@goaded there may very well be a teapot orbiting Jupiter, how does one disprove or prove it unless one goes to Jupiter.

So now you are doing what I initially said, asking the original person for evidence. Previously, you said the recipient had to provide evidence he was wrong, yet when Goaded presented you with an absurd proposition, you responded by asking him for proof or a method of proof. You cannot have it both ways.
Opinion Owner7 moNot so. If you read again. For all I know there is a teapot orbiting Jupiter
Opinion Owner7 moNot so. I suppose I should demand you prove that I am trying to get out of whatever you think I am trying to get out of.

No, but that is exactly what the MAGA people do when they listen to Trump lie enough; they believe him.

m 7 moThat’s the American way! To have no clue about a topic in the first place but double down on it with confidence. Case in point: User NYCincest1976 who lectured me about incest being legal in Germany even when I sent him the official DoJ links to our actual laws. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

I've had the same problem with him when he asserted that "everything I say is true and accurate" when I asked him for evidence for something he said that was obviously untrue. He expects that when he says something, it will be regarded as true, and he is absolutely intransigent about this, having asserted this to me multiple times...

Yeah, I had to block him too, after I realized he can’t debate like an adult, but is either a full-blown troll or a deranged weirdo.

That's why America is imploding, DryGermanGuy!!!

Who dat, DryGermanGuy?
No. There has to be evidence. It shouldn't have to be said, but in this place it does: the evidence has to back up the claim. (There have been so many cases where supposed evidence for something on here literally contradicts it.)

You really said: "The batteries cost between 15 and 20 thousand dollars and the old batteries are difficult to recycle and costs between 1 and 2 thousand dollars to recycle them.".
The economy & the ecology are NOT natural rivals. We could advance the economy through green policies. Why don't we? Is ANY part of the image false? ↗
You can buy a whole electric car for less than $20,000. - 7 mo
@msc545 You sure about that?

Batteries cost less than $2,500, dealers over-charge you.
"The cost to replace a Chevy Volt battery varies. Dealerships might charge up to $20,000. Online parts can cost around $2,500. Overall, replacement costs range from $3,400 to $34,000. On average, you can expect to pay about $9,210 to $9,335, with labor costs between $475 and $599."

Your constantly wrong about the funding of NATO and the fantasies that Germany and other EU countries would owe the United States money. Even after I proved to you that Germany and the United States pay literally the same amount of funding. - 7 mo
@exitseven You understand crypto is a scam, right? Trump's in big time. So is it good, or is it bad?

What something costs the consumer rarely has much to do with the cost of producing it. $15,000 is wildly expensive for an EV battery and obviously doesn't represent the cost of producing one.
I already gave an example of a replacement battery costing a couple of thousand to the consumer, here's another.
"A concrete example involves a 2017 Volvo S90 hybrid. If its battery fails after three years, a replacement could cost around $4,500 at a dealer. However, a certified technician may offer a refurbished battery for about $3,500, making it a worthwhile consideration for budget-conscious owners."
