IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO: You and a boy have always been more than friends.. a quiet understanding, late-night talks, little gestures that blur the line. He finally says it outright and proposes something real. You care about him, but you’re not sure, so you ask for time.

That same week he goes out, drinks too much, and dials you. Your phone is already engaged with a call from another guy.. your best friend, nothing romantic, but it’s a long vent-session you don’t want to cut off. (Your guy) calls again. And again (10+ times). You see his name flash, your stomach knots, and you let it ring out because you’re not ready to face his voice right then.

He switches to text: IG, WhatsApp, short messages that get more urgent. You read them, guilt prickling, but you don’t answer. Confused and irritated, you block him everywhere like shutting a door to buy a minute of quiet.

Later the day you felt the guilt is louder than the fear. You unblock just enough to call. It rings, once, twice, and then voicemail. You wait for his call back... nothing comes.

The next day you hover over the unblock button. Part of you wants to explain: “I was on another call, I panicked.” Part of you freezes.. what if he leaves me on read? What if he says he’s done, that he’s moved on? That dread sits heavy, stealing sleep. You replay his silence, wonder if he’s already talking to someone else, feel the shame of your own avoidance.

"5 months have passed" (You were still waiting to fix) & beneath it all, another question: maybe you’re not just scared, maybe you really do need time and space to understand what you want before you try to fix what you broke.

I am referring to the decade 2000-2009. Most of my school-age years were during this time. I would have to say my most favorite childhood year was 2004.

I believe the early-to-mid 2000s were the best, just prior to the Obama era. Most of this PC and SJW bullshit wasn't running rampant, and I feel there was order overall and everything held together fairly well. The divisiveness wasn't as apparent, but then again, I was an innocent child.

2004 was the year of the first SpongeBob Movie (before the show went to shit), mainstream pop and alternative was good, and I was rocking that GameCube, enjoying my Zelda Windwaker and Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of the Cortex. The town I grew up was a good, upper-middle-class family suburban town. It wasn't too crowded or crazy. The megachurch I went to had a good summer Vacation Bible School Program with state of the art performing arts with a Lord of the Rings theme. I had an awesome babysitter and we used to act goofy and make noises. Everything was still affordable and I didn't remember any money troubles. Kids still played outside and rode bikes and went trick-or-treating during Halloween. Christmas was still magical.

There are most certainly good things I have now that I wouldn't trade. Still, I reminisce about the good old days.

He grew up in an unforgiving world and a abusive who would beat up Liston and since that, this is where Sonny Liston was that one side y'all should not be mess with, even cops made a mistake of messing with him and even inmates when he was in prison.

Mike Tyson studied Liston (and Jack Dempsey) for their ability to intimidate an opponent. Mike is a lot smarter than people credit him for, and said once, "if you can make your opponent afraid, he is beat before he ever gets in the ring. Sonny Liston was the best at that - look what he did to Patterson."

Mike’s talent for terrifying his opponents is legendary. With his muscular physique, malevolent glare and his black trunks and shoes with no socks, he looked the part of an executioner. For most of his career, he was incredibly intimidating.

It's been said time and time again that it's not easy for most men to approach and flirt with a woman in public, and that even the most attractive confident men only have a 30 to 40% chance, at best, to impress a woman.

A 30 to 40% success rate still means rejection the majority of the time, and unlike in the pre-2000s, women nowadays tend to be a lot meaner and less empathetic about this than they used to (sorry, but it's true; a lot of y'all aren't nice).

Women also tend to not understand why only the most attractive, most ballsy 5% of men out there only hit on them, despite how many women will shout at, harass, curse out, or otherwise be viciously mean/rude to normal, decent men attempting to just get to know them better. (Not men being aggressive, rude, or not taking 'no' for an answer; just regular decent dudes.)

As a girl, are you the type to empathize with and understand just how hard it is for a guy (especially a not-handsome, not-fit, not-tall guy) to muster up the courage to ask a complete stranger to get to know him better and begin a potential relationship with him?

... Or are you the type of woman who will reject a guy loudly and rudely, because he was too short/ugly, wasted your time, or "couldn't see the tiny little wedding ring on your finger while you're holding your purse or phone" or something?

Me and this girl (ill call her Lisa) had been talking for a few months online before we decided to meet up, not a lot happened since we went to a busy city and were just getting used to being around eachother.

After that I was really uncertain if she liked me since I had to start al the conversations and she didn't look at me when she spoke. Then a friend of her (who I knew and I see as a good friend) messaged me telling me that Lisa liked me a lot without a doubt, but that she needs time to get used to dating since she is unexperienced.

A week later I went to Lisa's house and we watched netflix together, this time she was way less awkward, but everytime we sat down she sat so far away from me, and when I said things like "c'mon don't be shy" she moved away as a joke before getting only an inch closer than before. so when I went home I was still confused.

Everytime I say something on dm that has something to do with dating (e. g. date night, cuddle) she becomes really awkward: she takes long to respond, or doesn't at al.

A week after that she comes over to my house (its a 2.5h trip for her because she doesn't have a licence and the public transport route is shit so its quite a big deal) and gave me a ring that says "forever connected". We had a great time making the best of the shit weather, but again everytime I sat close to her she got awkward.

Everytime I mssg her that I'm going to a party she says "be loyal :)".

I really like her, but I don't see any progress and I'm confused what she wants. need advice with this one :/
