Why does he call me twice a day and how should I let him know it's too much for me?

My boyfriend calls me twice(morning call and goodnight call) everyday. I really appreciate it a lot. But I'm told that guys don't like talking on phone too much. And he started to call me everyday since he gave me his word that he would call me everyday. Does he keep doing it because he doesn't want to break his word? And besides, I think it's a little bit too much for me. I think one call every other day is better idea. But how can I tell him the truth if he really wants to call me everyday?

I think you should be grateful he calls. I normally hear girls complaining about guys not calling when they say they will and so far this is the first guy I've heard who is doing the opposite. This also means he's quite talkative which should be another plus. If you want, you could just let him do what he wants and eventually even he might become stale sooner or later. Your best bet is to jokingly say, "Babe, you don't have to call every day, or twice a day". That should give him the hint to calm down should you want that.

Thank you for your suggestion. but my baby is very sensitive. more sensitive than a woman. I'm afraid if I tell him that, he will probably have an idea that I'm not interested in him as much as I used to. so I'm thinking of how about just to talk about something he's not interested in (like nails caring and makeup.lol) and make him feel boring? in this case, he will have less interests to call me. lol

But you can just tell him you don't really like talking on the phone much.. and make it so that you're the one calling him...

I love him with all my heart. I do appreciate he calls me. just not sure if he calls me only for keeping his word or really misses me so much and I don't think it's necessary to talk everyday because I DON'T HAVE MANY SPECIAL THINGS TO TELL HIM, NEITHER DOES HE.

Ok I understand that.. I've been there .. well just tell him how you feel... if you want to know why he things ASK him.. I'm sure he'll be completely honest with you and just let him know that you'd like to talk on the phone just not as often..

guys need to be told ..what you want.. they don't just magically figure things out even if you give off signs.. it means nothing until you speak up

You want to see that he has something better to do than to think about you and call you all the time. Communication is important in any relationship, so just tell him that you appreciate him keeping his word, and it's okay not to call all the time. Sometimes younger guys are learning how to lead things, so give him time. You could tell him what to do, but then that's no fun.

What exactly is the big deal anyway? How long does he talk to you on the phone each time?

Normally we talk for 5 mins in the morning because he doesn't want me to be late for work and 20 mins at night. sometimes one and a half hours! what the funniest thing is we often keep silence on the phone and he says he feels happy even I don't say nothing. lol

You’re very lucky. I get it too, and I’m not even in a relationship with this guy, but we are just talking and getting to know each other he calls me day and night every day. he texts me every morning saying good morning. Have a good day this and and that. Then he’ll call me on his way to work. Then he’ll text me right when he’s done work. And then he’ll call me at night. But I get what you mean how it could be a little too much. For me I like it and I’m very appreciative, but I do still understand what you mean.
