What does my ex mean when he says I have nothing to say to you?

He emailed me Monday. Then I told him how much he hurt me. And he ignored. He contacted me again yesterday and I asked him why did he ignore me then. He replies I have nothing to say.

The main reason we still talk is because I'm waiting on him to pay me back the money he owes.

Guys don't really like to say how they feel. So even if you've poured your heart out to him, he won't say anything back. He probably just doesn't want to cause you any more hurt so he stays quiet.
