Why is my back sweaty when I drive?

Sometimes I get a sweaty back when I am driving, no matter if it is winter or summer. What is this? Can I prevent it or is there some car accessory I can use? by the way, I am taking prozac as well.

Do you happen to smoke? Hate to be that girl, but I used to smoke and sweat like a fat kid. Within a couple days of my last cigarette it has miraculously stopped! Not to mention I've been on prozac as well, smoker and non-smoker. But if you aren't then I'm sure a cloth seat cover versus leather, or vice versa, would do the trick. just try something different!

Your back gets warm because there isn't sufficient air flow. You sweat to cool down but it doesn't seem to work. If the material was 'breathable' then that wouldn't be an issue. Prime example is wearing a vinyl raincoat. You get rather sweaty if you are doing some activity in it.

It might be the material of the seat in your car that doesn't allow air flow - especially if it is bucket seats. Do you have leather/pleather seats?

Fabricate a back air conditioner, and install it into your driver seat...lol

What material are the seats in your car made out of?

Maybe one of those beaded seat covers will allow enough air circulation to cut down on the sweat?
