This message was on April 5th, my sister was the messenger since my ex-boyfriend was lazy to text me back. Since I probably pissed him off by calling him in the morning and double texting him too much. He would text me back and he wouldn’t respond to mine… Until 6 hours later.. My ex-boyfriend wanted a break then he reached out…
Will you people explain what he means? Even if it’s the harsh truth or not, I’ve been dying to know. How much do guys heal? Will my ex come back once he’s ready? It’s been 2 months since we are not talking.. (the second time we didn’t get back together how much I wanted to, my ex wanted to ask me out once he got out of the army, he never did… Felt like we were) 2nd time of being separated…

I am very sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but he is as far removed from you as it gets.
He avoids you whenever he can and he only spoke to your sister because he felt pressured into it.
Sometimes, ex's are ex's for a reason and should be left to get on with their lives. This is one such time. He won't come back.
The best thing you can do is move on with your life and try to be the best you can be without him.

It means he is getting frustrated with the bombardment of questions. Also, taking a break to me usually just means a full scale break up. Taking breaks to me always just sounds like an excuse to fuck other people without feeling like it's cheating , which is why the one time an ex suggested taking a break I told her that we might as well just break up because to me "taking a break" just prolongs the inevitable break up. So personally I feel you should simply move on.

Please take this as constructive criticism from a 50-year-old girl. You're sounding pretty desperate over the text, you're clearly showing your ex, I'm assuming his name is alex? That you are simply not over him. I've been there girlfriend, many times and I've learned that you have to back off. It is when you back off and not text them that they will come back cuz they will be wondering why aren't you interested in them anymore?

Sounds like he expects you to be okay with everything on his time his terms and that doesn't sound like a healthy relationship. I wouldn't sit around avid wait for someone like that period, much less someone that's an ex.

It is my choice to talk to him but my friends suggested I should start the “no contact rule for 30 days.” When it’s over, I should be ready by the time he reaches out or not.. Or I should be the one to contact him..

Of course, you may! My sister and her boyfriend including my ex they went to a bar together to go drink. Since my sister wanted to and my ex kept on ignoring me cause he got mad at me for finding solutions to help him and pressuring to get back together too… I shouldn’t pressured him in that manner. Since he was the one who said “we should get back together.” He never explained in depth.
