Yeah, I don't miss the relationship (it ran it's course already, we're much better off as friends) but I do miss having him around as a friend. We were friends for 5 years before we started dating and we dated for 6 years. He was basically my best friend. He then moved to a different state but we still remained in contact as friends, I've now started seriously dating someone new so I had to cut off contact with my ex out of respect for my new potential relationship but I sometimes wish that I could remain as regular friends with my ex and talk to him just like I would with any other friend...
