He was my good friend. I never forced any relationship upon him. It was pure friendship. One fine day he came saying our friendship is not good for our future relations. When i tried to stop him he blocked me. I cried a lot. how can someone be so heartless. Breaking one and a half year of good friendship in seconds ☹️

It could be he wanted more but was scared to initiate anything. Knowing he would never initiate, he realized how spending time with you would end up eating him up. Maybe he felt he had to totally eliminate you from his life to avoid beating himself up for not taking action. This is all unfortunate, but insecure people can struggle deeply with connections.

But he said he never liked me back 🙁 then what was the problem in becoming a good friend?

Sometimes people aren't honest with their feelings, and other times they feel you have interest in them and they don't want to encourage your feelings or disappoint you. Whatever the facts are, you're probably better off not attempting to hold onto him, as he's not ready for a healthy relationship.

Nope i am not holding onto him now. I have tried my best to stop him but he didn’t listen. He said nobody can change his mind now. I am just disheartened and its kind of painful.

Unfortunately, no matter how much you know about relationships, you can't make others want a relationship. There could be many reasons they don't want or aren't ready for a relationship, but that's totally with them, so don't frustrate yourself by attempting to understand or influence their decision.

We may not choose to continue a relationship, but forgetting means we won't learn from the experience. Always bring the knowledge we've learned forward and leave the pain in the past.

Consider what he did as a good thing...
Basically, what he did was say to you "I am an immature idiot and you are lucky that I did not waste your tame with you suffering before you finally discovered this fact about me."

Yeah i know he is, he is a coward person because of the future pressure he destroyed our present friendship.

He probably got a controlling girlfriend who is forbidding him from contacting any female friends.

Give yourself space and time to process the loss, then move on. You'll find more friends.

If you get confirmation he does have a controlling girlfriend, keep tabs from afar - he might one day need help to get away.

It's sometimes hard to do if you all are just friends and one person wants more then that. Eventually you would get a boyfriend and hearing about that would not be ideal in his eyes. So if he cuts contact they don't have to go through hearing about it and it getting to them. Maybe in the future when they finally meet somebody and feel like they are over it you all can reconnect but until rhen I don't think there is much to do unfortunately.

Before blocking me i asked him do you have any feelings for me he clearly said ‘ NO’ but kept on saying that you will appreciate me for breaking our friendship.
